Walt Disney World Tickets

Walt Disney World tickets allow you to select the number of days and add on extras to suit your style of theme park touring. We've outline the options below followed by some frequently asked questions and then a link to our recommended ticket reseller - Undercover Tourist. The tickets sold by Undercover Tourist are exactly the same as those you would purchase direct from Disney only cheaper. We use them for all our personal tickets, so can personally vouch for them.

1 Park Per Day Admission

The basic 1 Park Per Day tickets allow you to enter one of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks per day. You get to choose how many days you want to visit the parks during your stay, up to 10 days, and are able to exit and renter the same park as many times as you like each day with these tickets. These tickets are valid for 14 days from first use and must have their first use before December 31 2018.

Park Hopper Option

The park hopper option provides you with greater flexibility, allowing you to come and go as you please through all four of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on the same day for each day of your ticket.

Park Hopper Plus Option

This option provides entry into:
Blizzard Beach Water Park (usually closed for annual maintenance from Oct-Dec)
Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (usually closed for annual maintenance from Jan-Mar)
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (before 4pm)
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (before 4pm)

Your total number of allowed visits is determined by the number of days of your theme park ticket. For example, 7-Day Park Hopper Plus ticket entitles you to seven days in the four main theme parks and seven visits to the extra Walt Disney World fun options. If you choose to visit Blizzard Beach Water Park and the Winter Summerland Mini Golf Course on the same day, that counts as two of your 'plus' visits.

Please note: This option can not be added to the 1 Park Per Day tickets on their own, it can only be included with the purchase of the Park Hopper tickets.

Frequently Asked Ticket Questions

How many days should I purchase?
This will largely be determined by how many days you have allocated to your Walt Disney World visit. You probably need at least five days to give the parks a fair go.
Should I purchase the Park Hopper option?
If you're staying at a deluxe onsite hotel or have only 2-3 days in the parks then we usually recommend the park hopper. Guests staying at value, moderate or offsite hotels with young children can probably get by without them. If it's just adults and teens then you may find them worthwhile to extend your days.
Should I upgrade to the Park Hopper Plus option?
If you are getting the Park Hopper option and are planning on visiting a water park at least once then you are definitely better off upgrading to the Park Hopper Plus ticket. If you aren't fussed on park hopping, a single admission to the water park will be cheaper.
Can I purchase FastPass+?
There's no need to! Use of Disney's FastPass+ system is included free of charge with any valid ticket media. You will be able to make three advance reservations in one park for each day you hold a ticket for.
When should I buy my tickets?
Ideally you want to have your tickets purchased before your FastPass+ booking window opens. For onsite guests, this is 60 days before you check in. Offsite guests have to wait until 30 days before they plan on visiting the park.
Can I visit two parks on the same day and just use two admissions?
No. If you don't have the Park Hopper Add-on your ticket will not allow you to enter two different parks on the same day.
Can someone else use my ticket if I want to skip a day?
Walt Disney World tickets are non-transferable and they use biometric technology along with an image of your fingertip to keep track of who uses which tickets.
Do I have to include tickets with my hotel booking?
No. You can book a room-only reservation direct through the Walt Disney World website and then take advantage of discounted ticket prices. If you want to also purchase the dining plan you can ring Disney World's reservation call centre and book a ticketless package.
What happens if I decide I want an extra day when I'm there?
That's not a problem. Head to guest relations prior to using your last day of admission and they'll be happy to add additional days for you (at a cost of course). The only exception to this is if you have purchased a 10-Day ticket, the only way up from there is an Annual Pass and it's a significant jump in price.
What delivery option should I select when checking out?
The e-ticket delivery option is the most convenient for us here in Australia. They allow us to link the tickets to our online Disney account quickly and don't incur an extra delivery fee.
What do I do once I receive my e-tickets?
You'll receive a confirmation number that needs to be linked to your online Walt Disney World planning account. Head to the Walt Disney World homepage and click on the 'My Disney Experience' icon in the top right hand corner.
How do I get a MagicBand?
MagicBands are included with any onsite Disney resort reservation (including room-only reservations). If you're staying offsite you will be issued with an RFID enabled hard ticket. These guests may purchase MagicBands if they so wish from a large number of stores within the parks and Disney Springs.
