Walt Disney World Dining Review - Be Our Guest Dinner

Be Our Guest is Walt Disney World's newest and most popular restaurant. Located in Magic Kingdom's new Fantasyland it operates a quick-service restaurant for lunch and a table-service restaurant for dinner.

Reservations for dinner are booked as soon as they are released, so if you start planning your holiday after your 180 day reservation window opens and you want to eat here you'll need to stalk the dining reservation site multiple times every day until your trip and hope someone cancels at the right moment.

You check in for your reservation outside the gates to the Beast's castle. When we checked in there were people and strollers everywhere. I had a little wait before I could check in and a couple of people in front of me were told that there was no room for walk ups.

Once you've checked in you cross the bridge towards the Beast's castle and wait for your name to be called.

You enter the Beast's Castle through these double doors set into the base of the mountain. The stained glass above should be familiar to those who have watched the classic movie.

Magic Kingdom Day 2 - January 2014

As we approached the end of our Walt Disney World stay we headed back to the Magic Kingdom to hit the attractions we skipped last visit.

We arrived much earlier today than our first attempt but there were still plenty of people around.

Walt Disney World Refurb Update

Disney does a pretty good job of keeping their attractions and resorts refreshed with regular refurbishments but at the moment there seems to be a lot more going on than usual, so I thought I'd give you a run down of what's happening where to help with your planning.

Monorail The monorail is operating on a reduced schedule at the moment as an automated system is installed. For guests staying at monorail resorts, additional buses and/or boats will be available to pick up the load when the monorail isn't operating. Work is expected to be completed within the next few months but an exact end date has not been announced.

The current schedule looks like this:Epcot monorail - 9am-11pmResort monorail - 8:30am-midnightExpress monorail - 9:30am-11:30pm

As you can see, the biggest impact is the morning, especially with getting to the parks early for breakfast and to be ready to go pre-rope drop.

Polynesian Village ResortOur favourite resort is undergoing some huge changes at the moment and there is construction every where you look. We've intentionally not booked anyone for a stay here as it has the potential to be quite disruptive for guests.
