Disneyland Planning Resources

The Disneyland Resort is a busy place, with loads of attractions and entertainment offerings to keep everyone busy. In order to ensure you get the most value from your visit, we recommended investing some time in research before your visit. Since we aren't actively booking and planning individualised trips at the moment, we have compiled a list of some of our favourite planning resources to help you get started with your own planning journey.

Books

This guide gives a very thorough overview of the Disneyland Resort. It covers hotels, restaurants, parks, attractions and entertainment. They also include touring plans to help you navigate the parks.

This book isn't so much a planning resource but it is a great way to kill time when waiting in queues at the parks.

From the same team as the above title. I think even the adults will enjoy the format of these titles.

A unique option for your autograph book needs. This isn't designed as an autograph book and is fairly large to carry around the parks (I wouldn't attempt it without a backpack) but it makes for a beautiful keepsake and provides an ice breaker of sorts with the characters.

This title is more suited to the repeat Disneyland visitor looking to explore some of Disneyland's magic in further detail. A fun way to explore the parks.

iOS Apps

This is Disney's official app that includes park hours, wait times, PhotoPass photos, character appearances, maps, dining information and more. The app does require data and Disneyland do not have WiFi in their parks, so if you don't have a US SIM with data included you won't be able to use this in the parks.

Here's the app version of the book mentioned above. With a point scoring system to keep track of your finds it's certainly a little more convenient to carry around the parks.

This app comes highly recommended by the Magical Mouse children. They love spending time exploring the Disneyland Resort from the comfort of their living rooms. A great visual introduction to the parks.

We like this app for its simplicity and quick access to menus, park hours and wait times. Whilst not as pretty as Disney's official app, we tend to find what we're looking for a little faster using this app. You'll also have access to most feature (not current wait times)while offline, which may be of particular importance to some guests.
